The Schnitzer family has been one of Israel’s leading diamond exporters for more than eight decades, recognized for its diamond expertise and fine craftsmanship. The family-owned company was founded by renowned diamantaire Moshe Schnitzer and is now led by his son, Shmuel Schnitzer, and his grandson Shai Schnitzer.

 

S. Schnitzer looks to the future while drawing on its deep roots and rich heritage. Our mission is to make people happy through responsibly sourced diamond collections, imbued with the spirit of the Schnitzer family.

S. Schnitzer sources rough diamonds of exceptional quality, which are hand-cut and polished to create contemporary fine jewellery. Our diamonds are ethically manufactured to the strictest international standards, including those of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and of the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council), of which we are proud members. Shmuel Schnitzer

A revered expert in his field, Shmuel Schnitzer, Atty. is an Israeli diamantaire chairman and CEO of S. Schnitzer Diamonds Ltd. He has served as president of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) from 1998 to 2004 and from 2013 to 2015, after which he was awarded the title of Lifelong Honorary President of the Israel Diamond Exchange. Shmuel Schnitzer has served as president of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) from 2002 to 2006. Following this term, he was announced as Honorary Life President of the WFDB. In addition, Shmuel Schnitzer holds a Lifetime Achievement Award from the New York Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) and is the honorary president of the Israel Precious Stones and Diamonds Exchange.

In January 2016, he was elected chair of the board of the directors of the Israel Diamond Institute, and served this office until 2018.

Schnitzer serves as a member of the Advisory Committee of the Shanghai Diamond Exchange, a position he has held since the founding of the exchange.

Shai Schnitzer

Shai Schnitzer is an Israeli diamantaire, President of S. Schnitzer Diamonds Ltd. and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania to the State of Israel. Schnitzer served as director and member of the board at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) from 2015 to 2017, and currently is director and member of the board at the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (ISDMA), where he serves as chairman of Rough Diamonds & Next Generation Committees. 

 

In 2011 he has founded and led Dsee Imaging, a technology company with IP & knowhow in the area of diamond 3D imaging, and holds substantial interest in the field of technology, and diamond technology in particular.

 

He has been serving since as director, member of the board and member of the investments committee since 2016 at ICP, a public listed company which owns and leases real estate throughout Israel.
